Biography

Senior Season — 2014
MacManus earned All-Ivy League Second Team honors for a third consecutive season, wrapping up a terrific four-year career in which she did not miss a single game. Her 65 career games ranks in the top 10 in program history. In her second season as a co-captain, she continued to be recognized as one of the league’s best defensive midfielders, and MacManus was also a constant threat in the air on set pieces at both ends of the field. She led the team with 30 attempted shots, with 10 of them on target. Her three assists ranked second on the team and was a career high. She had two of those assists Sept. 12 vs. Virginia Military Institure, then set up Caroline Growney’s goal in a 3-2 victory over Penn with a beautifully weighted through-ball on Oct. 3. MacManus played a team-high 1,417 minutes for season, which is an average of more than 83 minutes per game.

Junior Season — 2013
MacManus was named to the All-Ivy League Second Team for a second consecutive season after tallying her third career goal and first collegiate assist. Serving as one of the team's tri-captains, MacManus played in all 16 of the Big Red's game for a third straight season. Already a key contributor in her role as a holding midfielder, she was a bigger factor in the squad's offensive efforts in 2013. MacManus ranked second on the team with 34 shots toward goal, always figuring into set pieces as one of the team's top aerial threats. She scored her lone goal of the season at a pivotal time, leading the Big Red to a 1-0 victory Oct. 6 at Delaware State in the team's final non-league game of the season. MacManus then added the first assist of her career in the season finale, helping to set up Dempsey Banks' strike in a 4-1 loss Nov. 9 at Dartmouth.

Sophomore Season — 2012
MacManus has established herself as one of the top defensive midfielders in the league, earning All-Ivy League Second Team honors after appearing in all 16 games for the second straight season. Consistently winning balls in the air for the Big Red, she scored her second career goal on a header off a corner kick from 10 yards out. Her 18 shots ranked fourth on the team.

Freshman Season — 2011
MacManus was one of just two freshmen to appear in all 16 games for the Big Red, starting 15 games as the team's go-to defensive midfielder. But she was also one of six Cornell players to score goals on the season, with her first collegiate tally coming in her native Pennsylvania in a 2-1 loss at Penn. One of the team's top aerial threats, MacManus' goal came on a header off a free kick from Abigail Apistolas in the 55th minute. Her 10 shots were tied for sixth on the team.

Before Cornell
MacManus, who also plays lacrosse at Cornell, was a three-time all-league and all-area selection while also serving as the team captain as a senior. She was her team's leading scorer for three straight seasons and is the leading scorer in school history.
