Biography

As a Senior (2011-12)
Baity competed in three tournaments in 2011-12, averaging a 78.7 over seven total rounds. At the Cornell Invitational in September, Baity shot a 77 and two 74s to lead the Big Red's 'B' team and finish tied for 24th overall in the 70-player field. Baity also took part in October's Big 5 Invitational and competed as an individual at the Century Intercollegiate in April.

At Cornell
Baity played in four tournaments for a total of nine rounds in 2010-11. He broke into the lineup as a freshman in 2009-10, starting all seven tournaments and posting nine rounds in the 70s. Included was a second round 68 at Princeton, tied for the lowest individual round by a Cornell player during the year.

Prior to Cornell
Baity was a three-sport athlete at Brunswick School and Deerfield Academy, playing golf, water polo and swimming. A four-year member of the golf team, he had the team's lowest scoring average. Baity won the Kingswood Invitational individual title in 2006 and helped the team to the overall crown in both 2006 and 2008. His low round was a 67 at the AJGA Smithfield Championship. Baity was a member of the 2007-08 New England water polo and swimming team champions.

Personal
Mark Andrew Baity is the son of John and Patricia Baity and has two older brothers and an older sister. His brother, Phil, was a member of the Big Red swimming and diving team and served as team captain in 2009. He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
