Biography

As a senior (2014)
Bucolo hit .262 with a double, a home run and eight runs scored while seeing action in 31 contests with 22 starts. She had four multi-hit contests, including a 2-for-3 afternoon with a home run, three RBI and two runs scored against George Washington. She also had multiple hits in wins over Yale and Monmouth and a loss at George Mason.

As a junior (2013)
Bucolo hit .311 in 44 contests (34 starts) as a junior. She scored 16 runs and drove in nine with a pair of stolen bases and a perfect 1.000 fielding percnetage in 39 chances. Bucolo had six doubles, including two in a game against Brown. Bucolo had four three-hit games and nine total multi-hit contests. She opened the season with a 3-for-5 afternoon with an RBI and a stolen base against Rider and also had three hits in games against Bethune-Cookman, Manhattan, Brown and a second contest vs. Rider. Bucolo was 2-for-3 with a double, two runs scored and two RBI vs. Manahttan.

As a sophomore (2012)
A first-team All-Ivy selection, Bucolo came alive during conference season, hitting .370 with four doubles, six home runs and 17 RBI while playing in all 20 contests to raise her season numbers to .297 with seven doubles, six home runs and 22 RBI. The sophomore hit six home runs in her first six Ivy contests, including a pair of home runs against Dartmouth and Brown. She went 4-for-5 with two doubles in the 10-inning win over Princeton and was 3-for-4 with a double, two home runs and a career-best five RBI at Brown. After hitting just .220 over the team's first 20 games, she hit a sizzling .341 over the final 28 contests.

As a freshman (2011)
Bucolo had a strong freshman season, batting .258 with four doubles, three home runs and 17 RBI. Bucolo also scored 21 runs in her 47 games played, including 44 starts. She had eight multi-hit contests, including a 3-for-4 effort against Princeton at home and a 2-for-3 performance with a home run, three RBI and two runs scored at Princeton. In her first collegiate game, Bucolo was 2-for-4 with a double and three RBI against Rider. She posted a .982 fielding percentage while primarily playing first base. She was named Ivy League Rookie of the Week once during the season.

At Palo Alto HS
Bucolo was a three-time first-team all-league pick in the infield at Palo Alto HS. The two-year captain led her team to league championships as a sophomore and junior. A San Jose Mercury News first-team all-star in 2010, Bucolo batted .494 as a senior. She was named the team most valuable player in each of her final two seasons. Bucolo batted .500 in the Central Coast sectional playoffs. She also competed for a year on the basketball and cross country teams.

Personal
Lauren Marie Bucolo is the daughter of Michael and Sherry Bucolo and has an older brother. Her father played football at Columbia, while her cousin Lori played softball at Illinois. She is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
