Biography
At Cornell
Senior (2012): The heart of Cornell's defense during his final year with the team, Edmonds played in every game in 2012. Taking part in contests with casts on both hands, Edmonds racked up 22 tackles, 1.5 tackles for a loss and a blocked kick. He was named to the All-CSFL Second Team as a defensive lineman, and he was awarded Cornell's Lt. Daniel Sussman Most Valuable Player Award.
Junior (2011): Edmonds was a constant presence on the Cornell defensive line in 2011, recording one interception on a batted ball in the Princeton game that he caught in the end zone for a touchdown. Edmonds started in six games and played in all seven, finishing fourth on the team with 38 tackles. He had two sacks for a combined three-yard loss.
Sophomore (2010): Edmonds saw action in four games during his sophomore season. He rushed the ball six times at Princeton for 38 yards. He also returned one kick for eight yards against the Tigers. Edmunds finished the year with three tackles.
At West Windsor Plainsboro HS
Edmonds played football for one year at West Windsor Plainsboro high school. He also played baseball for four years and ran track for one year.
Personal
William Xavier Edmonds is the son of Barbara and Cornell Edmonds and he has one older sister and one younger brother. Both of his parents attended Cornell. Edmonds is enrolled in the School of Industrial and Labor Relations.
