At Cornell
2013-14: George went 7-7 overall while competing in the Lock Haven Mat Town Open, the Southern Scuffle and the Millersville Open. He finished fourth at both the Mat Town Open and the Millersville Open. George earned a dual meet start in the Ivy League team win over Columbia.

2012-13: George went 19-11 as a sophomore, collecting five bonus wins along the way. George finished fourth at the Binghamton Open, third at the New York State Intercollegiate Championships, first at the Mat Town Open, fourth at the Penn State Open, first at the Shorty Hitchcock Memorial Tournament and second at the Edinboro Open.

2011-12: George compiled an 18-13 record during his rookie season at 174 pounds. He opened his collegiate career by taking fourth at the Binghamton Open and followed by winning the title at the Body Bar Invitational. George also wrestled at the Las Vegas Invitational, Southern Scuffle, EIWA tournament and in eight team duals. 

Prior to Cornell
George was a two-time NHSCA Nationals champion, earning the title as both a junior and senior at 189 pounds. One of Intermat’s Top 100 recruits, George took fourth at Beast of the East and twice placed third at the New Jersey state tournament. He was also a starter at linebacker and running back in football, earning division Co-Defensive Player of the Year in his final season. George competed with the Finger Lakes Wrestling Club last season, earning third place finishes at the Cleveland State Open and the Edinboro Open and fifth at the National Collegiate Open. He was the winner of the B Bracket at the New York State championships.  George was the National Honor Society President at his school.

Personal
William Otto George is the son of William and Helen George and has a brother and two sisters. He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
