As a freshman (2012)
Sutton went 1-4 with a 5.87 ERA in nine appearances, including six starts. She picked up her first collegiate victory in a complete game against Hartford, scattering seven hits and one earned run in 7.0 innings. She punched out three hitters in a game three times.

Prior to Cornell
A four-team team MVP as a pitcher at the Westminster School, Sutton was part of four league and Western New England Prep School championship teams. A two-year member of the league all-star team, Sutton compiled a 58-1 overall record in the circle and was team captain as a senior. One club team placed third at PONY nationals in 2009 and her 2011 club placed fourth at ASA Gold Nationals. As a senior, Sutton averaged 11 strikeouts per game, pitched three no hitters and a perfect game, and allowed only four earned runs throughout the season.

Personal
Brittany Lauren Sutton is the daughter of Craig and Mary Sutton and has an older brother. She is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
