As a Senior (2012-13)
Micikas did not run cross country for Cornell in 2012.
As a Junior (2011-12)
Micikas raced once for the Big Red in 2011 in cross country, running in the Paul Short Invitational.
As a Sophomore (2010-11)
Micikas dealt with health issues as a sophomore but still managed to place consistently in the top seven during cross country, and earned personal records in the 5000m during the track season at the Penn Relay meet.
As a Freshman (2009-10)
Much of Micikas’ freshman year was spent recovering from injuries, causing him to miss the cross country and indoor track season. He came back for outdoor track by running personal records in the 1500m, 5000m, and 10,000m. He finished seventh at the Heptagonal Meet in the 5000m running 14:31.
Before Cornell
Micikas was the Pennsylvania indoor 3000m state champion and earned a Penn Relays Championship of America in the 3000m. He was a three-time track and cross country district champion and a district record holder. Micikas earned first-team all-state in both cross country and indoor track while taking third-team all-state honors in outdoor track.
Personal
Robert John Micikas is the son of Bob and Anne Marie Micikas. He is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
