Kim's Top Performances
Pole vault	15' 11"

As a Senior (2013-14)
Kim again competed exclusively in the pole vault during his final season for the Big Red. His best indoor showing was at the Cornell Upstate Challenge where he took 6^th place with a season best indoor vault of 15’ 3”. He equaled that conversion at the Penn Relays to take 13^th place. His season best outdoor vault came at the Big Red Outdoor Invitational where he converted at 15’ 9” to finish 2^nd.

As a Junior (2012-13)
Kim continued as one of the top pole vaulters on the Big Red roster in his junior year, and he placed second at the Indoor Heps to score seven points for Cornell with a clearance of 15' 5". He finished 11th in the Eastern section of the pole vault at the Penn Relays, and he was seventh at the Outdoor Heps. He had a seasonal-best clearance of 15' 9" at thte Deneaul Invite in February.

As a Sophomore (2011-12)
Kim was a strong pole vaulter for Cornell in his second year, reaching 15' 3" at the Indoor Heps to take seventh place and just miss scoring. He was also fourth in the Eastern vault at 14' 9" at the Penn Relays.

As a Freshman (2010-11)
After weeks of missing the elusive mark of 15’9”, Kim finally made it on his first attempt at the Indoor HEPS putting him in fifth place, qualifying him for the IC4A’s. Although he had a difficult outdoor season, David persevered and vaulted a new personal record of 15’ 11”. Despite all the challenges he faced during the last few weeks of the outdoor season, David shows determination and a desire to be a better athlete everyday.

Before Cornell
David began pole vaulting his sophomore year in high school improving by leaps and bounds. He eventually posted a best of 15’7” his final year in high school.
