As a Sophomore (2011-12)
Tenpas came back strong as a sophomore, qualifying for the IC4As in the shot put and taking 15th overall with a distance of 51' 11".
As a Freshman (2010-11)
Curbed by many medical problems, Tenpas missed out on most of the indoor season and all of the outdoor season his freshman year.
Before Cornell
Tenpas was a first team all-state defensive tackle his senior year and an all-state discus thrower taking second place at the Wisconsin Outdoor state meet. He also played in the senior All Star football game, lettered two years in basketball and one in wrestling.
