As a Senior (2012)
Mellinger, as he did in his first year with Cornell, proved to be its top receiver in yards and yards per catch. Mellinger ended the season with a team-high 482 receiving yards, five receiving touchdowns and a team-long 69-yard catch. Mellinger caught 23 passes, averagine 21 yards per catch. He also returned nine punts -- averaging 9.7 yards for each -- and five kicks, averaging 22.4 yards for each. Mellinger was second-best on the roster in scoring 30 points, and he led the roster with 681 total yards. Mellinger was named to the All-CSFL Second Team and also claimed Cornell's A.L. Morris Award for Dilligence.

As a Junior (2011)
Mellinger had an outstanding year for the Big Red after transferring to Cornell from Junianta College. He contributed immediately, catching a team-high 35 passes for a team-high 609 yards -- an average of 17.4 yards per catch. His seven touchdowns through the air was also best on the team, and his 48 points topped anyone else on the roster. He also ran the ball once for six yards and a touchdown against Mansfield in the season finale, and he was the only player to compile more than 1,000 all-purpose yards. He racked up 361 kick return yards and also added 68 punt return yards in his senior year.
