As a Senior (2014-15)Bishop became the indoor and outdoor Ivy League and indoor ECAC pole vault champion her senior year, adding to a slew of strong performances during the regular season.She also earned CoSIDA Academic All-District Honors and was USTFCCCA All-Academic.
As a Junior (2013-14)Bishop had an extremely successful season, showing vast improvements while competing exclusively in the vault during her junior year. She took 1
st place at the Bomber Invitational with a then-career best clearance of 11’ 4.5”. She shattered that mark at her next meet, posting a clearance at 11’ 9.75” to take 3
rd place at the Deneault Memorial, in the process qualifying for the Indoor ECAC’s. She took 9
th place at the Indoor Heps, while she posted an indoor best clearance of 11’ 11.75” to take 13
th place at the ECAC’s. Bishop continued to show improvements once the season moved outdoors. She equaled her best mark from the indoor season to take 2
nd place at the Bison Outdoor Classic. She posted a career best clearance of 12’ 5.5” in a 1
st place finish at the Big Red Outdoor Invitational. The junior matched that mark the following week in a 2
nd place finish at the Cornell Outdoor Invitational. She went on to take 5
th place at the Outdoor Heps and 6
th place at the ECAC’s to conclude her season.
As a Sophomore (2012-13)Bishop set a new personal best in the pole vault during her second year in Ithaca, clearing 10' 8 3/4" at the Cornell Big Red Invitational in her last action of the season.
As a Freshman (2011-12)Bishop had a strong first year at Cornell, setting personal bests in the 100 and 200 at the Big Red Invitational. Indoors, she set new personal marks in the 300 at the Cornell Relays and in the 400 at the Armory.
Before CornellAn excellent sprint talent, Bishop ran a personal best indoors at 300 meters of 40.11 seconds and outdoors at 200 meters of 25.17. She was third at the Massachusetts state championships and has a top pole vault of 11 feet.
PersonalEve Marie Bishop is the daughter of Robert and Ann Bishop and was named a scholar-athlete by the Boston Globe. She has an older brother, Christian and a younger sister, Arianna.
