Biography
Junior Season — 2011-12
Gupta was a dependable presence in any of the five spots he appeared in during the season, posting a 15-5 record. His primary position was No. 5, though he was a perfect 6-0 in matches higher in the order. Gupta won a four-game match against Neil Martin on Feb. 17, helping the Big Red defeat Yale for its first Potter Cup quarterfinal in program history.
At Cornell
Gupta moved up to the middle of the order as a sophomore, finishing with a 5-9 record. He ranged from the middle to the bottom of the order in his freshman campaign, finishing with an 8-4 record. He was a member of the Canadian Junior Team that finished third at the World Junior Championships over the summer in Ecuador.
Personal
Arjun Gupta is the son of Ajay and Anita Gupta, and he has one older brother, Amar, who is also on the Big Red squash team.
