As a Junior (2013-14)Berghoff was limited to one event in her third season for the Big Red. She helped the distance medley relay team take 2
nd place with a time of 12:01.80 at the Nittany Lion Challenge.
As a Sophomore (2012-13)Berghoff did not participate in cross country races for Cornell during her sophomore year.
On the track, she just barely missing scoring points for Cornell in the 800 at the Indoor Heps, running 2:17.04 for seventh place. During the indoor season, she set personal bests in the 500 at the Deneault Invitational and in the 1000 at the Upstate Challenge.
As a Freshman (2011-12)Berghoff competed at the ECAC Indoor Championships, taking 18th place in the prelims of the 800-meter dash. She was also the lead runner in the Big Red's third-place 4x800 relay team at the Outdoor Heps, helping to score six points for Cornell. In that same meet, Berghoff finished 11th in the preliminaries of the 800.
Before CornellTess is the Arizona state champion at 800 meters and the state runner-up in the 1600 and will be an excellent addition to the Big Red’s strong middle distance group.
PersonalTess is the daughter of Robert and Heather Berghoff. She is enrolled in the College of Art and Sciences.
