As a Senior (2012-13)
Serving as a team captain during her senior year, Hanly was a vital part of the Big Red's roster on the high jump. She set a new personal record of 5' 10" twice late in the season, clearing the height at the Big Red Invitational and the Outdoor Heps. She was third in the event at Indoor Heps to score six points for Cornell, seventh at the Indoor ECACs, second at the Outdoor Heps when she equalled her personal best and sixth at the Outdoor ECACs. She concluded her Big Red career at the NCAA East Regional in Greensboro, N.C., placing 37th with a jump of 5' 5 3/4". Hanly was named the Gatling Award winner at the team's year-end banquet for doing the most over her career, and she also won the Theodota Ladas Award as the team's best jumper.

As a Junior (2011-12)
Hanly had an excellent year as Cornell's top female high jumper. Her notable performances began at the Indoor Heps, where she jumped 5' 5 3/4" to claim sixth place and score a point for Cornell. She followed that with a 17th-place showing at the Indoor ECACs where she jumped a quarter-inch higher at 5' 6". Hanly was 13th in the Eastern high jump at 5' 4 1/2" at the Penn Relays, and her Outdoor Heps jump saw her big breakout as she reached 5' 9 1/4" for first place and 10 points for the Big Red. That jump is also the second-best in school history outdoors. Hanly  was 13th at the Outdoor ECACs with a height of 5' 7", and she reached the NCAA East Regionals in Jacksonville, Fla., coming in 39th place with a jump of 5' 5 3/4". She also won Cornell's Theodata Latas Award as the program's best jumper.
