As a Senior (2014-15)Reid won the javelin at the Upstate Challenge and the Cornell Invitational and posted a seasonal best at Penn Relays.
As a Junior (2013-14)Reid continued to be a major contributor for the Big Red in the javelin. She finished the season strong, taking 1
st place at the Big Red Outdoor Invitational. At the Outdoor Heps, she posted a career best throw of 144’ 6” to finish 5
th. She concluded the season with a 23
rd place finish at the ECAC’s.
As a Sophomore (2012-13)Reid rose to new heights in her second year at Cornell, throwing the javelin 144' 0" at the Outdoor Heps to place fifth and score two points for Cornell. That performance earned her a spot at the NCAA East Regional in Greensboro, N.C., where she came in 28th place after entering the competition as the 46th seed. Reid also placed 19th at the ECAC Outdoor Championship in the javelin.
As a Freshman (2011-12)Reid made her presence known at the Penn Relays, throwing the javelin 123' 4" for a 21st-place finish in the college javelin competition. She scored points for the Big Red at the outdoor Heps, hurling the javelin an even father 134' 10" for fifth place. She also competed at the Outdoor ECACs to close out her year, taking 18th in the javelin with a throw of 127' 3". Her season best of 138' is the sixth-best throw in Cornell history.
Before CornellReid began to stand out during her sophomore year in high school in the javelin when she finished the year placing fourth at the Pennsylvania state track and field meet. Her junior year, she placed sixth at states. She finished her high school career on a high note, placing second at the state meet and third at the New Balance Nationals, earning All-American status. She holds her high school’s record for the javelin and the Westermoreland County Record at 146’4”. During her junior year she received the award of most valuable player for her track and field team. During her senior year, she won the female athlete of the year for Kiski Area High School and was also the most valuable player in volleyball where she was the team captain and first team all-conference
PersonalFelicia Reid is the daughter of Aileen and Darrin Reid and has an older sister and two younger brothers. She is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
