As a Senior (2014-15)Woodford capped off an outstanding track career with Second-Team All-America honors with the 4x400 relay team at NCAA Championships. The team had advanced to the finals after setting the Ivy League record in the event in the Preliminary Round. She was also part of a 4x100 team that broke the Ivy League and meet record at Outdoor Heptagonals. She also posted the fourth-best time in Cornell history in the 400 at Heps. Indoors, she took the No. 2 spot on the program charts and the No. 6 spot on the conference charts in the 400 at Indoor ECAC Championships. Her mile relay team also set Indoor Heps record.
As a Junior (2013-14)Woodford completed another impressive season for the Big Red her junior year, running in multiple events both indoors and outdoors. She competed in the 400 at the Indoor Heps, finishing eighth with a time of 58.91 seconds. She nabbed 12
th place in the event at the Indoor ECACs, as well as a first-place finish as second leg in the 4x400. Her success in both events continued into the Outdoor Heps, where she ran 56.59 in the 400 in addition to helping the 4x100 team to fifth place and the 4x400 team to first place.  She finished her season at the Outdoor ECACs with an improved 400 time of 55.32 and a fourth-place finish in the 4x100 as anchor.
As a Sophomore (2012-13)Woodford continued her strong performances for Cornell in her second year with the team, competing in important races throughout the season. Woodford competed in three events for Cornell at the Indoor Heps during her sophomore year, helping the Big Red win the 4x440-yard relay and score 10 points while also placing 10th in the 200 and 18th in the 60. At the Indoor ECACs, she was part of the Big Red's sixth-place 4x400 relay where the team scored three points. Outdoors, she took part in the Penn Relays in the 4x100 and helped the Big Red to a fifth-place finish in its heat and also ran on the Big Red's first-place 4x400 Heptagonal section. At the Outdoor Heps, Woodford was part of the Big Red's second-place 4x100 relay team.
As a Freshman (2011-12)Woodford was terrific in her first year in Ithaca, helping relay teams win various competitions and go on to the NCAAs. Woodford's Indoor Heps competition saw her place eighth in the 200-meter dash, but she also ran the anchor leg of the 4x400 relay that claimed the Ivy League title. She also ran the last leg of the 4x400 at the Indoor ECACs, a race where Cornell took third. Along with her sister, Emily, and two other athletes, Woodford placed third at the Penn Relays in the 4x200. That race was run in the second-fastest time in school history. Woodford anchored the team's 4x100 relay at the Outdoor Heps where they took second place, and she took sixth place in the 100-meter dash in the same race. Woodford then went to the Outdoor ECACs the following week, helping Cornell's 4x100 team to a sixth-place finish but winning the 4x400 relay running the third leg. During the year, she set the school freshman record in the indoor 200 (24.71 seconds), a mark that is the seventh-fastest time in school history. Outdoors, she set the freshman record with a 24.15w 200-meters (also the third-fastest time in school history), and her 11.99w in the 100 is the sixth-fastest time ever at Cornell. To cap her year, she took home the Marc Deneault Award as the program's outstanding freshman.
Before CornellWoodford was the New York state champion at 400 meters with a best of 55.68. She also won the outdoor section 4 championship at 100 meters running 12.02 and has been on many section and state championship relay teams.
PersonalKatherine Margaret Woodford is the daughter of R.C and Theresa Woodford and has two siblings. Twin sister Emily is a member of the Cornell track team, and she also has a younger brother.
