As a Senior (2012)
Costich concluded her Cornell cross country career with a great season. She placed 20th at the season-opening Army-Binghamton tri-meet, complieting the course in 18:35.40. She followed that effort with a 17th-place showing at the Yellowjacket Invitational later in September, finishing as the Big Red's 12th runner. Her best race of the season may have come at the Paul Short Open Run where she took fifth overall and was thet first runner from a team to cross the finish line. Costich was the big Red's sixth runner at the Princeton Invitational in October, taking 39th overall. And in her last appearance, she ran 15th place at the John Reif Memorial Run on the Moakley Course.

As a Junior (2011)
Costich was one of 12 runners to compete for Cornell at the Heptagonal Championships, placing eighth on the team and 41st overall. Her first run of the year was the Yellowjacket Invitational, where she took seventh place overall.

As a Freshman and Sophomore (2009-10)
After an impressive freshman year, in which she contributed in all three seasons, Costich continued to improve throughout her sophomore year. Once again an important part of the team’s top seven, Costich qualified for the indoor and outdoor ECAC Championships in track as she set personal bests at every distance.

Before Cornell
A rapidly improving middle distance and distance runner, Costich emerged as one of Connecticut’s best in both cross country and track as a senior. She has run 5:06 for 1600m and 11:04 for 3200 meters.

Personal
Cara Marie Costich is the daughter of Bernard and Helen Costich and has two older sisters and a younger brother. Both of her sisters are current members of the University of Chicago women's soccer team. She is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
