As a Senior (2012-13)
Kellner continued her stellar evolution as Cornell's top cross country runner in 2012. Her year culminated in a 36th-place finish at the NCAA Championships and All-America status that came with the finish. She also earned All-Region honors after finishing as Cornell's top runner at the NCAA Northeast Regional, and she became the first Cornell women's cross country runner to win the Ivy League Championship as an individual since 1994. Kellner helped the Big Red win its second consecutive Heps title while serving as a tri-captain, and she finished first among Cornell runners in all but two races on the season. A First-Team All-Ivy winner, Kellner also won the season-opening Army-Binghamton tri-meet, placed second at the Yellowjacket Invitational, was second overall at the Paul Short Run and 15th out of 327 at the Wisconsin Invite. At the conclusion of the season, Kellner was awarded the team's Clarence Spindler Award for its MVP as well as the John Moakley Award for the senior who has done the most and the Carol Andersen Award given to the women's team captain.

Finishing her track career in amazing form, Kellner won the 10K at the NCAA East Regional at  Greensboro, N.C., to advance to the NCAA Outdoor Championship meet in Eugene, Ore. Kellner began her season by placing third in the 3K and the 5K at the Indoor Heps to score a combined 12  points for the Big Red. She followed that with a second-place showing the 5K Championship at the Penn Relays. She was also excellent at the Outdoor Heps, running second in the 5K to score eight points for Cornell and then placing third in the 3K to get two more points. She made it a 20-point weekend by winning the 10K title in 33:29.64, a seasonal best until the NCAA Regionals where she beat that time by 12 seconds. At the year-end banquet, Kellner won Cornell's Spindler Coaches Award.

As a Junior (2011-12)
Kellner had an outstanding junior season and was one of the best athletes on the team. Starting off with a fifth-place finish at the Indoor Heps 3K, Kellner also took seventh in the 5K at that meet.  She was even better the following weekend, taking second place at the Indoor ECACs to score big points for the Big Red. Kellner took third at the 3K Championship at the Penn Relays, and then scored 18 points for Cornell the following weekend at the Outdoor Heps. There, Kellner was second in the 5K and won the 10K by a fantastic 26 seconds. She then took fourth at the 3K at the Outdoor ECACs before advancing to the NCAA East Regional. There, in the 10K, Kellner placed third to advance to the NCAA Championships. In Des Moines, Iowa, her season came to a close with a terrific 21st-place finish in the country. For all her efforts, Kellner was named the Dr.  George Ladas award winner as Cornell's top distance runner, the "Jinky" Crozier Award winner as the team's track MVP and the Clarence Spindler Award Winner as its cross country MVP.

Kellner's time of 9:34.32 in the indoor 3K is now the sixth-best time in school history, and her indoor 5K time of 16:11.38 is the second-best time ever at Cornell. At the Stanford Invitational outdoors, she set the school record with a 32:58.73 10K and was the only athlete at the NCAA East Regionals to have a sub-33-minute 10K entry time. Her outdoor 3K best of 9:26.46 is also the second-best mark in Cornell history, and her outdoor 5K time of 16:19.67 is now the fourth-best time ever at Cornell.

During the cross country season, Kellner was the Big Red's top runner in every race as she placed first in the  Army-Binghamton tri-meet, third in the Colgate Invitational, 13th in the Paul Short Invitational, 15th at Pre-Nationals, an impressive fourth at the Heptagonal Championships and 14th at the NCAA Northeast Regionals. Kellner earned First-Team All-Ivy honors for her finish at Heps and was named an all-region honoree for her finish at Regionals.

As a Sophomore (2010-11)
Kellner had an impressive freshman year and even better sophomore year.  Despite injuring her knee midway through her sophomore cross country season while riding her bike to class, Kellner was the Big Red’s top finisher at the Colgate Invitational.  It was in the indoor and outdoor track season that Katie came back strong to make her presence known in the League, in the East and nationally.  The Heps runner-up in the 10K to teammate Kelsey Karys, Kellner went on to break the school record with a terrific 18th place finish at the NCAA First Round, running a full two minutes faster than she did as a freshman when she set the school freshman record.  She was also the indoor ECAC bronze medalist in the 5000. Remarkably, Kellner set personal bests every weekend except for one during her breakout sophomore indoor and outdoor track seasons.

As a Freshman (2009-10)
During Kellner’s freshman year, she was consistently the team’s third runner throughout the cross country season, ran the second best time ever on Cornell’s Moakley Course and was an ECAC qualifier and Heps scorer on the track.

Before Cornell
Kellner was among the best distance runners in New Jersey throughout her high school career and as a senior qualified for the prestigious Footlocker National Cross Country Championships. The runner-up in the 3200m at the 2009 New Jersey Meet of Champions, she has PRs of 9:55.67 for 3K and 10:34.04 for 3200 meters.

Personal
