As a Senior (2014-15)Tozser placed fourth at cross country's season-opening dual-meet at Army and also competed in the Harry Anderson Invitational.
On the track, Bozser's 3K Steeplechase time at outdoor ECAC Championships was good for ninth all-time at Cornell. She took first place in the event at the UC Riverside Spring Classic.
As a Junior (2013-14)Tozser was one of 12 Big Red runners to advance to the Ivy League/Heptagonal Championships. There, she ran the 6K race with a time of 22:18.9. Her other 6K finishes include the Paul Short Gold race and the Wisconsin Invitational. She also ran at three 5K races, including the season-opening race against Army, the Boston College Invitational and the Reif Memorial Run, where she placed 4th with a time of 18:03.6.
Following a strong cross country season, Tozser continued to be a factor in the distance races. She posted new career bests in four events during her junior season. Her season of personal bests started at the Boston University David Hemery Valentine, posting a personal best 3000 of 10:01.31. She kept the momentum going at the Bomber Invitational, where she marked a 5:05.35 mile to take 1
st place. Outdoors, she focused her efforts in the 3000 steeplechase, posting a personal best 10:38.97 in a 10
th place finish at the Penn Relays. She added a personal best 800 of 2:20.84 to finish 6
th at the Cornell Outdoor Invitational. Tozser concluded her year competing in the 3000 steeple at both the Outdoor Heps and the ECAC’s, finishing 8
th and 10
th respectively.
As a Sophomore (2012-13)Tozser had a strong first year with Cornell, racing in the Heptagonal Championships and placing 40th overall. Earlier in the season she began with a 13th-place finish at the Army-Binghamton tri-meet. She also took 11th at the Yellowjacket Invitational, sixth at the Paul Short Run open race and 25th at the Princeton Invitational.
On the track, Tozser competed in 10 meets running in 13 races for the Big Red in a busy first year at Cornell. She had a seasonal best of 5:08.22 in the mile at the Deneaul Invitational, 10:19.83 in the 3K at the Sykes/Sabock Challenge and 11:15.24 in the 3K steeplechase at the Binghamton-Buffalo tri-meet to her year in late April.
Before CornellA transfer from nearby SUNY-Cortland, Tozser was a key contributor in cross country for the Red Dragons as a freshman and won the Division III ECAC title in the 3000 steeplechase, with a fine time of 10:50.25. She has also run 4:46 for 1500 meters and 10:20 for 3K. At Homer High School, she was a Section 3 champion in cross country and track.
PersonalBorbala Tozser is the daughter of Ferenc Tozser and Veronika Fodor. She has two younger brothers, Andras and Marton.
