Before Cornell
Tucker has excellent speed but was slowed by an injury toward the end of his senior year. In spite of that, he was the North Carolina winner in both hurdle events with bests of 14.2 and 38.17.

Wesley Maurice Tucker is the son of Maurice and Darline Tucker. He has an older sister, Morgann, and a younger sister, Ciera.
