As a Senior (2015-16)
Crawford ran in five cross country races as a senior, posting a season-high 11th-place finish at the Cornell-hosted John Reif Memorial.
On the track, Crawford continued to contribute in the middle ditances, helping the distance medley relay team to a third-place finish at Ivy League Indoor Heptagonals and placing eighth on his own in the 1000 meters. Outdoors, he qualified for IC4A Championships in the 800.
As a Junior (2014-15)
Crawford set a personal best in the 1000 at the Kane Invitational, finishing in 2:33.21.
As a Sophomore (2013-14)
Crawford continued to be a significant middle distance contributor in his second year for the Big Red. He kicked off his sophomore slate with a career best 500 time of 1:07.82 in a 4
th place finish at the Cornell Southern Tier Collegiate Open. The following week he posted a career best 600 time of 1:27.40 at the Nittany Lion Challenge. He took the top spot in the 800 at the Deneault Memorial with a season best time of 1:54.80. Outdoors, Crawford took 2
nd place in the 800 at the Cortland Classic Invitational. The following week he marked a career best 1500 meter time of 4:21.50, shaving 5.7 seconds off his previous best, at the Big Red Outdoor Invitational. At the same event he also posted a career best 400 time of 52.90 in a 12
th place finish. He wrapped up his season with a 3
rd place finish at the Cornell Outdoor Invitational.
As a Freshman (2012-13)
Crawford competed in the middle distances for Cornell during his first year on the track, helping out in big meets in the relays. He was on Cornell's fourth-place 4x800 relay teams at the Indoor and Outdoor IC4As, scoring a combined 10 points for the team during the season. He had a seasonal best of 1:54.14 in the 800 at the Ithaca Tuesday Meet in April.
Before Cornell
Crawford was the New York state runner up in the 600-meter indoors. He ran 1:21 at Barton Hall to rank him among the top 10 nationally. During the outdoor season, he posted numerous 1:53 800-meter races.

Matthew John Crawford is the son of Sloane and Susan Crawford. He has an older sister, Megan.
