Martinez opened her sophomore season as a starter on vault before missing the rest of 2014. She posted a season-best 9.775 on vault at Penn State, a mark that sits tied for 10th all-time in Cornell history. Martinez was a starter on vault, scoring a 9.625 or better in 10 of the team's 12 meets in 2013. She posted a season high of 9.775 four different times, including at the ECAC Championships to finish tied for third overall. Martinez had a 9.750 or better in four of her final six events. She also saw time on beam and floor during her rookie campaign.

Prior to Cornell
A two-time national qualifier, Martinez was the vault, bars, floor and all-around Level 9 champion in her region in 2010. She competed for the Aerial Athletics club team where she was the Level 9 Western national vault champion.

Personal
Madeline Marie Martinez is the daughter of Jose and Jackie Martinez and has two younger brothers. She is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
