Biography
As a senior (2017)
• Started every meet on bars and floor, consistently scoring at the top of the lineup in both events.
• Placed fifth on bars at the ECAC Championships with a season-best 9.800.
• Was 9.800 or better five times during the season, four times on floor.
• Posted a 9.850 on floor at the USAG team finals, a score that ranks sixth in school history.
• Finished seventh at the Ivy Classic on Floor (9.675)
• Had a pair of top 10 efforts at Rutgers, taking fifth on bars (9.775) and seventh on floor (9.825).
• Named to the ECAC All-Academic team.
As a junior (2016)
• Was one of the Big Red’s most consistent competitors on both bars and floor.
• Was fourth on floor at the Ivy Classic with a 9.725.
• Finished fifth on bars at the Ivy Classic with a 9.800, a score she matched at Cortland for the 10th-highest score in school history.
• Was 11th on bars (9.700) at the USAG Collegiate Nationals.
• Hit regional qualifying scores of 9.745 on bars and 9.720 on floor, both marks ranking second on the team.
• Hit for 9.650 or better in 10 of her 11 meets on bars, and was 9.7 or better on floor in six of nine meets.
• Earned a spot on the ECAC All-Academic team.
As a sophomore (2015)
• Molotsky was a full-time starter on bars and floor, qualifying for USAG Collegiate Nationals in both events.
• Posted the team's highest regional qualifying score on bars (9.750) and second-highest on floor (9.725).
• Scored a 9.800 on bars twice during the season, at home against Bridgeport and William & Mary and at West Virginia.
• Scored a team-best 9.725 on bars at USAG nationals, finishing seventh in her session and just missing out on individual finals.
• Finished seventh on bars and 10th on floor at the ECAC Championships.
• Was eighth on floor at the Ivy Classic.
As a freshman (2014)
• Molotsky spent her rookie season as a regular part of the lineup on bars where she jumped into the program’s top 10 event performers.
• She finished tied for second on bars at the ECAC championships (9.800) and went 9.675 or better nine times in 12 meets.
• Her score at ECACs is tied for ninth all-time in school history.
• Molotsky also saw significant time on floor with a best of 9.725 at Rutgers.
Prior to Cornell
• A two-year captain of the Lenape HS gymnastics team, Molotsky has been a member of the U.S. national Maccabiah team.
• She was part of a silver medal-winning group in 2009 and was also picked for the team in 2013.
• Molotsky was a two-time regional qualifier and competed at Level 10 for six years.
Personal
• Elana Sarah Molotsky is the daughter of Drew and Abby Molotsky and has a sister.
• She is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
