Biography
At Cornell
Davis was a three-time U23 selection, helping the US men's eight win a silver medal at the 2015 championships after a bronze medal performance in 2014. A standout rower for the Big Red, he competed in the varsity eight all four years and served as captain during a senior year in which the Big Red placed fifth at Eastern Sprints, its best finish since 2009.
Prior to Cornell
Davis was a four-time letter winner at St. Ignatius College Preparatory, earning the most improved award as a sophomore. In 2010, he was selected to the US junior men’s national team and won a bronze medal in the junior eight at the USRowing Youth National Championships. He was also chosen to attend the US junior men’s national team sweep selection camp in 2011 and 2012, where he won a bronze medal at the USRowing Club National Championships in men’s eight.
Personal
Gregory Skylar Davis is the son of Steve and Ana Davis and he has one younger sister. He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
