At Cornell
As a junior, Hamilton rowed in the varsity eight at the 2015 IRA Regatta that finished 10th overall to beat its seed, after helping the second varsity eight win the Petite Final at the 2015 ECAC Sprints for a seventh place finish overall. During the Cup season, Hamilton rowed in the varsity eight that beat Navy and Syracuse to win consecutive Goes Trophies for the first time since 2009/2010. During his sophomore season, Hamilton moved into the varsity eight and helped the crew to finish seventh place overall at the 2014 Eastern Sprints, its best finish since taking fourth in 2009. The crew then bested its seed by one spot at the 2014 IRA Regatta, finishing eighth overall. Hamilton had a solid freshman season, rowing in the freshmen eight that earned the bronze medal at the 2013 EARC Sprints before finishing just outside the medals with a fourth-place finish at the 2013 IRA Regatta. 

Prior to Cornell
Hamilton was a three-time letter winner at Conestoga high school, winning the team’s most improved award as a junior. As a member of the Fairmount Rowing Association, he took first place at the 2012 Mid-Atlantic Junior Championships in the varsity quad, placed second at both the 2012 Stotesbury Cup Regatta and the 2012 SRAA National Championships in the qaud, and finished third at the 2012 USRowing Youth National Championships in the youth quad. Hamilton also lettered four times in swimming, serving as team captain his senior year.

Personal
Cuyler Ross Hamilton is the son of Will and Jill Hamilton and he has one older brother and one younger brother. His father was a member of the George Washington University crew and his older brother, W. Chase Hamilton, is a member of the Johns Hopkins University water polo team. Cuyler is enrolled in the College of Engineering.
