As a Freshman (2013-14)Steck participated at five events during his debut season for the Big Red. He aided the distance medley relay team to a 1
st place finish at the Greg Page Relays. He also helped the 4x4 relay team to a 4
th place finish at the Greg Page and a 3
rd place finish at the Ithaca College Quad Meet. Individually, he competed in the 800. His best indoor showing came at the Ithaca College Quad Meet where he marked a 4
th place finish. Steck competed strictly in the 800 at his three outdoor events. His best showing came at the Cornell Outdoor Invitational, where he posted a season best time of 1:58.69 to finish 11
th.
