At Cornell
In his first season with the Big Red, Jedema rowed in the third varsity eight that finished in fifth place overall at the 2014 Eastern Sprints. The crew, which entered the weekend as the eight-seed, then won the Petite Finals at the 2014 IRA Regatta to place seventh overall.

Prior to Cornell
Jedema lettered three times in rowing at Central Catholic high school, where he earned a gold medal in the varsity eight at the 2013 SRRA Championship. He also helped the varsity eight to back-to-back Midwest Scholastic Championships in 2012 and 2013. Jedema helped the youth eight to an eighth place finish at the 2012 Head of the Charles. 
 
Personal
Nicolaas Paul Jedema is the son of Hank Jedema and Paula Nathaniel. He is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
