Biography
• IRA All-Academic Team (2017)
At Cornell
Junior (2015-16): DiGiacomo helped the second varsity eight to victory over Syracuse and Navy in the battle for the Stagg Points Plate, before rowing in the third varsity eight that beat Penn and Dartmouth for the James Wray Memorial Trophy. He rowed in the third varsity eight that finished fourth at the 2016 Eastern Sprints, missing out on a bronze medal by three-tenths of a second. At the 2016 IRA National Championship, he helped the second varsity eight to a second place finish in the Petite Finals to take eighth place overall.
Sophomore (2014-15): During his sophomore season, DiGiacomo rowed in the third varsity eight that won the bronze medal at the 2015 ECAC Sprints, before taking third in the Petite Final to finish ninth overall at the 2015 IRA Regatta.
Freshman (2013-14): In his first season with the Big Red, DiGiacomo helped the freshmen eight to win a bronze medal at the 2014 Eastern Sprints. The crew went on to be the Big Red's lone boat to race in the Grand Finals of the 2014 IRA Regatta and placed sixth in the nation.
Prior to Cornell
DiGiacomo earned three varsity letters in rowing at St. Paul’s School, rowing in the first boat in each of his final two seasons. He was also selected to participate in the USRowing Junior Men's Development Camp in 2012 and won the bronze medal in junior four with coxswain at USRowing Club Nationals. DiGiacomo also lettered twice in football and three times in Nordic skiing. He was a NEPSAC all-league selection in skiing and led St. Paul’s to the 2011 NEPSAC Nordic Team Championship, after winning the 2010 Lakes Region Nordic Team Championship.
Personal
Christian Michael Anderson DiGiacomo is the son of Michael DiGiacomo and Eva Anderson and he has one younger sister. He is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
