At Cornell
Junior (2015-16): Klauke helped the third varsity eight to victories over Syracuse and Navy in a battle for the Stagg Points Plate, as well as a win over Penn and Dartmouth for the James Wray Memorial Trophy. He rowed in the third varsity eight that finished fourth at the 2016 Eastern Sprints, missing out on a bronze medal by three-tenths of a second. At the 2016 IRA National Championship, he helped the second varsity eight to a second place finish in the Petite Finals to take eighth place overall.
 
Sophmore (2014-15): During his sophomore season, Klauke stroked the third varsity eight that won the bronze medal at the 2015 ECAC Sprints, before stroking the same crew to a third place finish in the Petite Final of the 2015 IRA Regatta.

Freshman (2013-14): In his first season with the Big Red, Klauke rowed in the fourth varsity eight that finished in sixth place overall at the 2014 Eastern Sprints.

Prior to Cornell
Klauke earned four varsity letters in rowing at Loyola Academy.  As a senior, he helped the varsity eight to a fifth place finish at both the Scholastic Rowing Association of America Nationals and the Midwest Scholastic Championship. Klauke won a silver medal in the varsity eight at the 2012 Midwest Scholastic Championship, before taking fifth place at the SRAA Championship. As a member of the second varsity eight as a sophomore, he won the gold medal at the Midwest Scholastic Championship, before taking silver at the SRAA Championship. In his rookie season, he helped the freshmen eight to a third place finish at the 2010 Midwest Scholastic Championship, before coming in fourth overall at the SRAA Championship. Klauke also lettered three times in football and once in wrestling. He helped his football team to three conference championships to go along with an 8A state championship runner-up finish in 2011.
 
Personal
Henry William Klauke is the son of Joseph Klauke and Catherine La Plante-Guin and he has one younger brother. Klauke comes from an extremely athletic family, as his grandfather played football, basketball and baseball at Salinas Jr. College in the early 1940s, and his father played basketball at the University of Illinois from 1983-84. His uncle, Paul Klauke, also played football at Holy Cross from 1972-76, while his aunt, Jenny Koll, played at Notre Dame from 1980-84. Klauke is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
