Biography
Junior Season — 2015
Marhoefer appeared primarily as a reserve in 14 games. She scored a goal in her lone start of the season, thumping a shot from near the top of the 18-yard box under the crossbar in the Big Red's 2-0 victory on Sept. 27 at Wagner. The strike proved to be the game-winner.
Sophomore Season — 2014
Marhoefer led the Big Red with two game-winning goals and was fourth on the team with five points on those two goals and an assists. Her first goal kicked off the scoring in Cornell's rout of Virginia Military Institute on Sept. 12 in the Big Red Shootout. She assisted on Caroline Growney's goal against Buffalo a week later, then netted her second goal of the season Oct. 19 at NJIT. That strike proved to be the only goal in the Big Red's 1-0 victory. Marhoefer appeared in 14 of the Big Red's 17 games, including eight starts.
Freshman Season — 2013
Marhoefer was a frequent contributor as a forward off the bench for the Big Red, working her way into 13 games. She scored her first collegiate goal Oct. 12 against Harvard, when she took a Dempsey Banks service and headed the ball past the Crimson's goalkeeper in the 67th minute.
Prior to Cornell
Marhoefer competed at the club level with the Oswego Southside Soccer Academy 95 Blue Fusion, where she served as a captain in 2012. The team won the Surf Cup championship in San Diego that year and also won its second straight Oregon state title. Marhoefer was a four-year letterwinner with the soccer team at Grant HS, where she also competed for three years in track & field. Her 4x400 relay team finished second in the state in 2012, and she also finished seventh in the state in the 100- and 200-yard dash events. She earned Scholar Athlete awards at Grant in 2010 and 2011.
