At Cornell
Roach was named a 2015 Division I Pocock First Team All-American, becoming the first-ever Cornell women's rower to be named All-American three times, as well as the only athlete in the history of the program to earn two first-team honors during their career. Roach was previously named to the first-team in 2013 and earned a second-team selection in 2014. Prior to her All-American selection she was previously named a CRCA Mid-Atlantic Region first-team selection for the third straight year. Roach was named the 2014 Collegiate Athlete of the Year by USRowing in their annual Fans Choice Award after helping the United States' varsity eight to win the gold medal at the U23 World Rowing Championships in 2014.

As a junior, Roach rowed in the varsity eight boat that finished fifth at the 2014 Ivy League Women’s Rowing Championship and was named a CRCA Mid-Atlantic Region first-team selection before being named a second-team CRCA All-American. Following the season, she was invited to participate in the 2014 U23 Women’s National Team Selection Camp and was chosen as a member of the women's eight that went on to win the gold medal in Verase, Italy. Roach had an outstanding sophomore season as a member of the varsity eight, earning Mid-Atlantic Region first-team honors before being named a first-team All-American. She helped the Big Red varsity eight to finish in fourth place at the 2013 Ivy League Women's Rowing Championship and 15th overall at the 2013 NCAA Women’s Rowing Championship. Roach was a solid contributor during her rookie season, rowing in the second varsity eight and helping that boat to victories over Syracuse, Boston University, Rutgers and Dartmouth. The crew also finished sixth overall at the Ivy League championship and placed second in the Third Level Finals at the 2012 NCAA championship, good for 14th in the nation. Following the season, she was selected to participate in the USRowing Women's Freshman Camp, held in Seattle, Wash., for the top freshman/first year rowers in the country.
