• IRA All-Academic Team (2015)

At Cornell

As a junior, Hayes won a silver medal rowing with the lightweight four without coxswain at the 2015 IRA Regatta. He also helped the Big Red earn its second consecutive Jope Cup by rowing from the bow seat in the second varsity eight that won a silver medal at the 2015 EARC Sprints.During his sophomore season, Hayes rowed in the third varsity eight boat that took the bronze medal at the 2014 Eastern Sprints. In his first season, Hayes rowed in the first freshman eight that took the silver medal at the 2013 EARC Sprints. 

Prior to Cornell
Hayes lettered once at Central Catholic high school. As a junior, he led his team to a second place finish at the Midwest Scholastic Rowing Championship and a fourth place at SRAA Nationals. As a senior, he helped the squad to the Midwest Scholastic Rowing Championship title and a fifth place finish at SRAA Nationals. He also competed in one year of swimming.

Personal
Connor Thomas Hayes is the son of Thomas and Laurie Hayes and he has two younger brothers and a younger sister. He is enrolled in the School of Industrial and Labor Relations.
