Cornell University Athletics

As a junior (2016-17)
• Led the foil squad in wins and ranked second overall on the team with 54 victories.
• Posted the second highest winning percentage among all foil fencers and was third on the team (.675).
• Went a perfect 6-0 at the Cornell Invitational.
• One of just two Big Red fencers to post a winning records at the Penn Elite Invitational, going 6-5.
•Was one of three Cornell fencers to finish in the top 10 at the 2017 NCAA Northeast Regional, placing fifth overall in the foil competition.
•Finished 17th overall at the 2017 NCAA Fencing Championship.
•Earned eight wins at NCAAs, defeating four members of the Ancient Eight, two each from Yale and Harvard, and earning a win over Wayne State's Zuzanna Sobczak, who placed ninth overall at the tournament.

As a sophomore (2015-16)
• Did not compete during her sophomore season.

As a freshman (2014-15)
• Had an outstanding rookie season, posting the second most wins on the foil squad with a record of 46-14.
• Led the squad in winning percentage at 77 percent.
• Was a perfect 3-0 vs. Haverford, Sacred Heart, Vassar, Tufts, St. John’s, Boston College, UNC, and Duke, and a perfect 2-0 vs. Hunter and NJIT, while posting winning marks of 2-1 vs. Fairleigh Dickinson, CCNY, Stevens, Brandeis and Temple.
• Was the Big Red’s top foil finisher at the 2015 Ivy League Round Robin, going 7-7 overall with winning records vs. Yale (2-1), Penn (2-1) and Brown (2-1).
• Went on to place 17th overall at the NCAA Northeast Regional.
• Represented the Big Red in the fifth annual Korea-USA Elite Fencing Invitational (KUEFI), held in Gangwon, South Korea, and brought home a bronze medal after taking third overall in the foil competition.

Prior to Cornell
• Fenced for five years, taking first place in the women’s foil competition at the 2013 New York State championship after winning the women’s foil competition at the 2012 US National High School Fencing Championship.
• Finished in the top eight in the Cadet women’s foil competition at the St. Louis NAC in 2012.
• Was named All-Academic first-team in 2011-12.
 
Personal
• Lyubov Semionovna Kiriakidi is the daughter of Semion and Kira Kiriakidi and she has two brothers.
• Father, Semion, is an instructor with the Rochester Fencing Club. 
• Enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
