Biography
At Cornell
As a junior (2016-17)
• Rowed with the fourth varsity eight against Penn and Harvard and against Princeton.
As a sophomore (2015-16)
• Rowed in the fourth varsity eight that took the bronze medal at the 2016 Eastern Sprints.
• Helped Cornell earn the Leonard Cup with a win over Penn and Harvard, as well as posting victories over Princeton and Yale.
As a freshman (2014-15)
• In his first season with the Big Red, Finkbeiner won a gold medal with the fourth varsity eight at the 2015 EARC Sprints.
Prior To Cornell
• Rowed for four years at Paul D. Schreiber high school where he won a gold medal in the junior 4+ at the 2012 Head of the Schuylkill.
• Also earned bronze medals at the 2013 Club Nationals in the men’s intermediate lightweight 8+ and at the 2014 New York State Rowing Championships Regatta in the senior lightweight eight.
• Also earned a fifth place finish in the men’s under 19 lightweight eight at the 2013 Royal Canadian Henley. He was a member of Port Rowing Club.
Personal
• Carl Reitter Finkbeiner is the son of Kurt and Lisa Finkbeiner and he has one younger brother.
• Enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
