Biography

As a sophomore (2016)
• Started the first five games of the season before suffering a season-ending injury.
• Finished the year with three goals, scoring twice in the season opener vs. Colgate.

As a freshman (2015)
• Grew by leaps and bounds during her freshman season to earn the team’s Most Improved Player award.
• Registered more than 30 minutes in three of the Big Red's final four games, three of which were Ivy League contests.
• Tallied three goals on the year, scoring against Sacred Heart, Monmouth and Yale.
• Was named the Ivy League and ECAC Rookie of the Week on Sept. 15 after posting goals vs. the Pioneers and Hawks, while her goal vs. the Bulldogs was the game-winner in a 1-0 decision.   
 
Prior to Cornell
• Earned three varsity letters in field hockey at Mount Saint Joseph Academy, helping the squad to four consecutive district semifinal finishes.
• Led the team in goals and assists as a senior and was named a Catholic Academy (AACA) All-Star for her efforts.
• Helped Mount Saint Joseph to consecutive Pennsylvania State Tournament appearances in 2011 and 2012 and a league co-championship in 2011.  
• As a junior, she was selected to the Keystone State Tournament team.
• Played club field hockey with Mystx.
• Was selected to play in the 2013-14 Junior Indoor Premier League (JPIL), as well as the Junior Outdoor Premier League (JPOL), and the U19 Regional Club Championship Team.
• Named to the 2012 National Indoor College Showcase (NICS) All-Star Team.
• Also earned four varsity letters in track and field, winning three district championships and was named a 2013 AACA All-Star in the 3,200-meter.
 
Personal
• Kate Bernadette Fitzpatrick is the daughter of Stephen and Ann Fitzpatrick and she has three younger brothers and one younger sister.
• She is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
