As a senior (2015-16)
• One of the top breaststrokers in school history, he graduated ranked third all-time in both the 100 and 200 events.
• Was a team tri-captain
• Won the B final at the 2016 Ivy League championships in the 100 and was 10th overall in the 200, posting NCAA B cut times in both races.
• He reached the Ivy final in the 200 breast as a freshman and consistently ranked among the conference's top 10 in the eventh throughout his career.
• Was chosen to receive the team's overall achievement award.
As a junior (2014-15)
• A breaststroke specialist, Luo reached the B level finals in the 100 and 200 and also scored in the 200 IM at the 2015 Ivy League Championships.
• Won six individual dual meet races during the season and had an impressive 18 top three finishes in 21 races.
• Had the team’s second-fastest times in both breaststroke events, behind only Ivy champ Ilya Evdokimov.
• Both marks rank in the top four in school history.
• Luo was elected as tri-captain for the 2015-16 season

As a sophomore (2013-14)
• Luo had a solid sophomore year, with consistent performances throughout the dual meet season.
• He improved in his three primary events and made consolation finals in both the 100 and 200 breaststrokes at the Ivy Championship meet.
• Luo was the recipient of the overall achievement award at the team banquet.
As a freshman (2012-13)
• He had a breakout freshman year, leading the team through dual meets with multiple wins in the 200 breaststroke.
• He also made the final in the 200 breast at the Ivy League Championship meet and was the second-highest point scorer from Cornell by also scoring in the 100 breast.
• Luo swam the breaststroke leg of the 400 medley relay and was named team MVP.
Prior to Cornell
• Luo earned first-team all-state honors in the 200 IM, winning the event at the Meet of Champions as a senior at Bridgewater-Raritan HS.
• Luo was part of two state championship winning teams.
• He set county record in the 200 IM and had the second-fastest time in the state in the 100 breast.
• He swam club for the Somerset Valley YMCA.
Personal
• Victor Y. Luo is the son of Fei Luo and Mei Zhang and has an older sister.
• He is enrolled in the College of Engineering.
