Biography

Senior Season — 2015
Serving alongside Charlotte Tate as the Big Red's co-captains, Fischer effectively helped lead the program's renaissance leading to a 9-4-4 mark this year. She was recognized as one of the best defensive midfielders in the league, garnering All-Ivy League honorable mention en route to helping the Big Red tie a single-season program record with 12 shutouts. She appeared in 14 games and earned 12 starts while battling injury for most of the season. Fischer's lone appearance on the scoresheet came, fittingly, on Senior Day. She got on the end of a deep cross by Amanda Gaggioli off a short corner, heading the ball back across goal for a conversion from Tate on Oct. 24 against Brown.

Junior Season — 2014
Once again a fixture in the defensive midfield, Fischer played in 15 games and made six starts. Her one goal was dramatic, coming in the 100th minute at Binghamton to give the Big Red an overtime victory on Sept. 21. Fischer scored the goal on a header from about five yards on a curling cross from freshman Tess Pullano. It was her third career goal.

Sophomore Season — 2013
Fischer appeared in all but one game for the Big Red, including 10 starts, often pairing with two-time All-Ivy selection Claire MacManus to comprise the squad's defensive midfield. Fischer was one of just five players to score multiple goals on the season, netting her first two collegiate strikes. The first came on an unassisted tally in the Big Red's 5-4 victory over Albany on Sept. 15, then Fischer scored the winner Sept. 27 against Columbia. Her four points ranked fifth on the team.

Prior to Cornell
Fischer joined the Big Red via transfer from Saint Peter’s College, where she started all 19 games for the Peacocks and was named to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference All-Rookie Team as a defender in 2012. She also chipped in with two assists, both coming against Ivy League opponents — Yale on Sept. 11, and Princeton on Sept. 25. Before her days at Saint Peter’s, Fischer competed at the club level with Laguna Hills Eclipse Soccer Club, which won its league in 2011 and 2012, and finished second in the California State Cup in 2012. She also competed with the soccer and track & field teams at Newport Harbor HS, where she was a two-time captain and two-time All-Sunset Team Second Team selection.
