Biography

As a senior (2019)

• Was a regular starter on beam and bars and spent much of the year in the vault lineup as well.
• Named second team All-ECAC on bars.
• Took third on beam at the ECAC Championship with a 9.875, a mark that tied a career high and sits No. 3 all-time at Cornell.
• Had five meets on beam with a 9.7 or better and seven meets on beam above that mark.
• Named one of three ECAC Scholar-Athletes of the Year.
• Earned a spot on the ECAC All-Academic team.
• Named to the Academic All-Ivy team.
 

As a junior (2018)

• Competed in the season-opening meet at George Washington on beam and floor.
• Missed the remainder of the season due to injury.
• Named to the ECAC All-Academic team.
 

As a sophomore (2017)

• Earned ECAC Gymnast of the Year honors.
• Qualified to compete in the all-around at NCAA Regionals at West Virginia, placing 14th.
• Three-time USAG All-American, including finishing as runner-up in the all-around (39.075).
• Finished fifth at USAG nationals on vault (9.800) to earn first-team accolades and 15th on floor (9.425) for a second team nod.
• Became the school-record holder in the all-around at 39.225 at the Big Red Invitational.
• Won the ECAC all-around title with a 39.100.
• Posted five all-around scores of 39.000 or better on the season.
• Tied with teammates for second on beam (Kaitlin Green) and fifth on bars (Elana Molotsky) at ECACs.
• Was outstanding in helping Cornell to its second straight Ivy Classic title, taking second in the all-around with a 39.000, third on floor (9.775), fourth on beam (9.750), fifth on vault (9.725) and seventh on bars (9.750).
• Posted 16 scores of 9.800 or better, and at least once in each of the four events.
• Two-time ECAC Gymnast of the Week (Jan. 31, Feb. 14).
• Named to the ECAC All-Academic team.
 

As a freshman (2016)

• Was a two-time USAG Collegiate All-American as a rookie, earning first-team accolades in the all-around and second-team honors on floor.
• Named ECAC Rookie of the Year.
• Placed fourth at USAG nationals in the all-around and was sixth in her session on floor to take second-team All-America honors.
• Had the second-highest all-around score in school history with a 39.000 at the USAG meet.
• Won the ECAC title on beam after scoring a 9.875 and finished fourth in the all-around with a 38.900.
• Ranked in the top 10 on beam (eighth), vault (10th), floor (10th) and in the all-around (third) at the Ivy Classic meet.
• Has top 10 all-time scores at Cornell in the all-around (second, 39.000) and on beam (third, 9.875) and floor (fifth, 9.850).
• Took home ECAC All-Academic honors and four separate ECAC weekly honors.
• Was a three-time ECAC Rookie of the Week and earned Gymnast of the Week on Jan. 24 after her second collegiate meet.
• Posted the highest regional qualifying score in school history in the all-around (38.750).
 

Prior to Cornell

• Dudley won state titles on all four events and the all-around as a senior while competing for Nebraska Gold Gymnastics Academy.
• Qualified for the regional championships, finishing ninth in the all-around.
• Competed at the 2015 Junior Olympics National Invitational Tournament, finishing in the top five on all four events and in the all-around.
• Three-time regional qualifier for Level 10.
 

Personal

• Lyanda Catherine Dudley is the daughter of Andrew Dudley '88 and Linda Chee and has younger brother and sister.
• She is enrolled in the College of Engineering.
