Biography
As a Junior (2014-15)
In her first competition in the Novice Fences, Rhodes took home first place, winning the division at the Alfred Show. She also earned a reserve championship in Novice Fences at the Ivy League show.
Before Cornell
Rhodes competed in high school equestrian for one year in the intermediate flat and over fences categories where she made the IEA Zone 7 High Point Varsity Team and won the Sportsmanship Award in 2012. Besides high school, she competed in FFA horse judging for four years and won the state championship in 2012. She placed Reserve World Champion Individual Overall at the American Quarter Horse Youth World Show Judging Contest in 2012 as well.
Rhodes also played golf for one year in high school where she won her school's Lady Wolf Award for athletic leadership.
Personal
Susan Elizabeth Rhodes is the daughter of the late David Rhodes and Janet Martinez. Her stepfather is Fred Martinez. She is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
