Biography

Senior Season — 2016
Crowell headlined the Big Red's senior class, which registered 29 victories over its four years on East Hill — the highest total for one group since the Class of 1997. A pillar in the middle of the pitch for all four of her years, Crowell earned her third career All-Ivy League honor when she was placed on the second team after her final collegiate season. Serving as a tri-captain, she had a team-high three assists to finish tied for third in team scoring while anchoring the central midfield.

Junior Season — 2015
Crowell led the Big Red in scoring for a second straight season, scoring four goals to go with an assist for nine points and All-Ivy League first team honors. As the team’s anchor in the central midfield, she played a large role in both any offensive chances and also Cornell’s ability to keep possession of the ball — a huge factor in the squad’s improvement to a 9-4-4 record this season. Crowell was the primary source of service on corner kicks and on free kicks, and she scored her first goal of the season on a penalty kick against Cleveland State at St. Bonaventure’s Alumni Classic. She scored against two days later against Akron and was named to the all-tournament team. Crowell’s other goals fueled 1-0 victories over Binghamton and Yale. Crowell and goalkeeper Kelsey Tierney were the Big Red's first All-Ivy first-teamers since 1995.

Sophomore Season — 2014
Crowell received All-Ivy League Honorable Mention after playing primarily in central midfield and occasionally at forward. She showed off her goal-scoring ability to complement her play-making skills, leading the team in scoring with 14 points on a team-high six goals and two assists.
She first scored twice against Virginia Military Institute on Sept. 12 during the Big Red Shootout, then repeated the feat a week later in a 3-2 victory over Buffalo — including the game-winner in the 84th minute. She started 15 of the team's 17 games, and was intentionally rested in the other two.

Freshman Season — 2013
Crowell had a stellar collegiate debut, ranking third on the team in scoring with three goals and five assists for 11 points in 15 games as a midfielder. She pulled off a rare feat when she was named both the Ivy League Player of the Week and the Rookie of the Week on Sept. 16 after a dominating performance of two goals and three assists in games against Marist and Albany. She became the first Big Red player with three assists in a game since Amy Snow on Sept. 15, 1991. Crowell was also the program's first Ivy League Player of the Week since Maneesha Chitanvis on Oct. 8, 2012, and the first Rookie of the Week since Mary Keroack on Sept. 6, 2010. Crowell and Dempsey Banks gave the Big Red two freshmen with at least 11 points in a season for the first time since the program's inception in 1982.

Prior to Cornell
Crowell competed on the club level with Minnesota Thunder Academy, where she was named to the all-event team in 2011 when the team finished fifth in the prestigious Elite Clubs National League national championship. Crowell was also a two-time participant in the ECNL/id2 National Training Camp in 2012 and 2013, and helped the Thunder win Minnesota State Cups in 2010 and 2011. She was also a four-time member of the Minnesota Olympic Development Program team from 2007 to 2010. Crowell competed for four years with Minnetonka HS, where was a two-time all-state winner and also earned honorable mention as a sophomore in 2010. She was named to the All-Metro team three times, the all-conference team four times, and was additionally tabbed as the team’s most valuable player in 2010 and 2011 and rookie of the year in 2009. She was a student government vice president, and a member of the National Honor Society.
