Biography

Why Wuebbolt Chose Cornell: Developing and managing global labor organizations in order to achieve sustainable economic systems excites me. Cornell's School of Industrial and Labor Relations, and departments, such as International and Comparative Labor, is the perfect place for me to explore international working conditions, economics, labor relations, and gain the skills for innovation, implementation, and management of global industry.


At Cornell
As a junior (2016-17)
• Consistent member of the varsity eight throughout her junior season.

As a sophomore (2015-16) 
• Moved into the varsity eight as a sophomore.
• At the Doc Hosea Invitational Regatta, the varsity eight took on Minnesota, UMass, Navy and Dartmouth and placed second behind the Gophers.
• Helped Cornell earn the Parents’ Cup with a win over Dartmouth, and also defeat Boston University by open water in a race at Brown.

As a freshman (2013-14)
• As a freshman, Wuebbolt rowed in the second varsity eight that took fifth at the 2015 Ivy League Women’s Rowing Championship.
• Also rowed in the varsity four that beat Dartmouth during the regular season. 
• Following the season, Wuebbolt traveled to England with the Big Red to participate in the program's first-ever trip to the Henley Women's Regatta, where she rowed as a member of the second varsity eight in the Senior 8 race.

Prior to Cornell
• Rowed for Chautauqua Lake Rowing Association, posting the fastest erg time on the team in 2013 and 2014.
• Served as team captain during her final two seasons and was named the Most Valuable Rower in 2014.
• Helped her crew to third place in club and fifth place in the NYS Championship at Saratoga Springs in 2014.
• Medaled at the 2013 Pittsford Regatta (first) and the 2013 John Benet Regatta in Buffalo (third).
• Took third place in the state and second in club in the Senior 4+ category at the 2013 NYS Championship in Saratoga Springs after taking fourth in the state and second in club in the Junior 4+ category in 2012.
• In 2011, she took first in club in the state and second overall in the Novice Category.
• Earned four varsity letters in soccer and three letters in basketball at Southwestern high school.

Personal
• Emily Catherine Wuebbolt is the daughter of Gordon and Mary Beth Wuebbolt and she has sisters.
• Enrolled in the School of Industrial and Labor Relations.
