Biography
At Cornell
As a freshman (2016-17)
• Rowed for the third varsity eight against Penn and Harvard at the start of his rookie season.
• Member of the fourth varsity eight for the remainder of the season.
• Helped the fourth varsity eight take bronze in the Grand Final at the 2017 EARC Sprints.
Prior to Cornell
• Rowed four seasons at Christian Brothers Academy.
• As a senior, he helped the lightweight eight take third at the Stotesbury Cup Regatta and sixth at the Scholastic Rowing Association of America (SRAA) Championships.
• Given the team’s Coach’s Award as a junior and helped the lightweight coxed four to a second place finish at the Philly City Championships and a sixth place finish at the SRAAs that same season.
• Took silver medals at consecutive Garden State Scholastic Championships, placing second with the lightweight eight in 2014 and with the lightweight coxed four in 2015.
• Also earned silver with the varsity eight at the 2014 Head of the Christina.
Personal
• William Michael Miksic is the son of Matthew and Catherine Miksic and he has three brothers and two sisters.
• Enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
