As a senior (2016-17)
• One of the Ancient Eight’s top freestlye sprinters.
• Shared the team’s Overall Achievement Award with classmate Billy Murch Elliot.
• Led off for a school record-breaking 400 free relay team
• Anchored the 400 medley team that had the third-fastest time at Cornell and the 200 free squad that is second in school history.
• Placed eighth in the 50 free, posting a school-record time of 22.84 to earn a spot on the podium.
• Was a finalist in the 100 free at the Ivy meet, posting the second-fastest time in school history with a 50.14.
• Also scored in the 100 back.
• Posted top 10 finishes in the 50 free (ninth) and 100 free (10th) at the Akron Zippy Invitational.
As a junior (2015-16)
• Made the A final at the 2016 Ivy League Championships, finishing sixth overall, in the 100 free with a time of 50.25.
• Lowered her 100 free mark later that afternoon as the leadoff leg of the 400 free relay, as her 50.15 sits second all-time at Cornell.
• The 400 free relay placed seventh in 3:24.33, good for third all-time at Cornell.
• Was 13th in the 50 free in 23.18.
• Anchored the 400 medley relay team that ranked eighth on the school’s list.
• Only competed in a pair of regular season duals in preparation for the Ivy League Championships.
As a sophomore (2014-15)
• Scored in the 50 and 100 free at the Ivy League Championship meet.
• Also competed in the 100 fly at the championships.
• Had the team’s second-fastest time s of the season in the 50 and 100 free.
• Won three dual meet races and finished in the top three 12 times during the year.
• Place second in the 100 free at the Bomber Invitational.
As a freshman (2013-14)
• Stankaitis made huge contributions to the Big Red women’s successful 2013-14 season.
• Competing in sprint freestyle, she emerged as an important point scorer during dual meets and in the Ivy League championships.
• Stankaitis was a member of three relays that established school records, the 200 medley relay, the 200 free relay and the 400 free relay.
• In individual events, she finished the season ranked second in the 50 freestyle; second in the 100 freestyle and ifth in the 100 butterfly on the season’s best times list.
• On the Big Red’s all-time top 10 list, Stankaitis is ranked second in both the 50 and 100 freestyle and 10th in the 100 butterfly.
Prior to Cornell
• Stankaitis was a USA Swimming All-American in the 50 and 100 free at Honeoye Falls-Lima HS.
• She was a three-time All-Greater Rochester Swimmer of the Year by the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle.
• The New York state champion in the 50 free in 2009, she broke the state record in the event in 2012.
• Stankaitis captained the team as a senior.
• She also competed in lacrosse, where she was named a high school All-American as a senior.
• She was part of a state runner-up squad and two state semifinalists.
• Stankaitis was a two-time all-state tournament pick, a two-year captain and a two-time All-Greater Rochester pick.
Personal
• Caroline Noelle Stankaitis is the daughter of Joseph and Vickie Myers Stankaitis and has two older and two younger sisters.
• She is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
