Biography
CSA Scholar Athlete (2018, 2019)
As a senior (2018-19)
• Competed in all but one match, posting a 6-11 record from the Nos. 4, 5 and 9 positions.
• Debuted with five-game victory over opponent from Williams at No. 4 on Nov. 17.
• Won twice in Ivy League play, defeating opponents from Brown and Penn in a stretch that included six victories over an eight-match span.
• Named College Squash Association Scholar Athlete for second straight year.
As a junior (2017-18)
• Tied for second on the team in victories with a 10-7 record, most often slotting into the No. 9 position
• Won a pair of Ivy League matches, including a three-game decision against an opponent from Brown during a four-match winning streak from Jan. 20 to Feb. 3.
• Recorded a four-game victory over an opponent from Penn on Feb. 9.
• College Squash Association Scholar Athlete.
As a sophomore (2016-17)
• Posted a 5-3 record, with all but two appearances coming at the No. 9 position.
• After going 2-2 in Ivy League play, was in the Big Red's lineup for the Howe Cup weekend.
• Won only five-game match of the season to help Cornell sweep the opening rotation of a 6-3 victory over Columbia in the match that clinched the Big Red's seventh-place finish in the national showcase event.
As a freshman (2015-16)
• 7-8 in collegiate debut, appearing as high as No. 5 and as low as No. 9 in the order.
• Most frequently was plugged into the No. 8 position, where she was 5-3.
• Won one Ivy League match, topping her opponent from Dartmouth on Feb. 6.
• Also defeated her opponent from Columbia in the Big Red's win over the Lions in the seventh-place match of the Howe Cup.
Prior to Cornell
• Ranked 19th in the country by US Squash in the GU19 division upon arrival at Cornell.
• Four-time US Squash Scholar Athlete.
• Global Scholar and Business and Finance Scholar at Hathaway Brown School.
Personal
• Lauren Beth Leizman is the daughter of Daniel and Julie Leizman, and she has one brother and one sister.
• Both siblings have competed with squash teams at Princeton.
• Enrolled in the School of Hotel Administration.
