Biography

As a senior (2019-20)

• Rowed from the fourth seat on the Big Red’s men’s championship eight boat at the Head of the Charles Regatta, helping Cornell post a time of 14:54.47.
• Helped the Cornell C 8+ boat to an 11th place finish among 22 boats in Flight 2 of the Cornell Autumn Classic with a time of 11:54.95.
• Spring 2020 season canceled due to COVID-19.

As a junior (2018-19)

• Competed in six regattas as a junior, rowing primarily on the third varsity eight.
• Most commonly rowed in the second seat, but also sat in the first and fifth seats over the course of the season.
• Rowed on the varsity four against Georgetown and No. 12 Penn, helping Cornell sweep the two schools and hoist the James Wray Memorial Trophy.
• At the IRA National Championships, rowed the third varsity eight to a win in the Third Level Final and a 13th place overall finish.

As a sophomore (2017-18)

• Rowed in the fourth varsity eight throughout the 2017-18 season.
• Helped the fourth varsity eight to victory in the Petite Final at the 2018 EARC Sprints to take seventh place finish overall.

As a freshman (2016-17)

• Member of the fourth varsity eight during his rookie season.
• Helped the fourth varsity eight take second in their heat at the Carnegie Cup, falling to Princeton yet defeating Yale.

Prior to Cornell 

• Earned four varsity letters at the Seattle Academy of Arts and Sciences, serving as team captain during his senior season.
• Awarded the team’s Top Nut award, given to athlete who holds the team together.

Personal

• Jordan James Broihier is the son of Jeffrey Broihier and Kathleen Sweeney.
• Enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
