Cornell University Athletics

As a sophomore (2017-18)

• Made the A final in the 200 IM, posting an NCAA B cut time and lowering her own school record in the event with a time of 2:01.37.
• Swam the fourth-fastest time in school history in the 400 IM (4:21.64), taking 10th at the Ivy Championship meet.
• Also scored at the Ivy meet in the 200 back, placing 20th.
• Anchored the 400 medley relay team that set a school record of 3:43.47.
• Swam the final leg of the 400 free relay that that posted the third-fastest time in Cornell history (3:23.92) and the second leg of the 200 free relay that had the fourth-fastest mark by a Big Red team.
• Won four individual events at dual meets, including taking home first in both the 100 free and 200 IM against MIT.
• Took home the 200 IM title against Harvard and won the 400 IM race against St. Bonaventure.
• Named the team's Hardest Worker at the postseason banquet.
 

As a freshman (2016-17)

• Had an outstanding freshman season, closing with a school record in the 200 IM and as part of the top 400 free relay team in school history.
• Broke the Cornell record in the 200 IM with a 2:01.74 at the Ivy League Championships, more than three-quarters of a second faster than the previous record.
• Swam a leg on the school record-setting 400 free relay as well as in the 200 free relay that posted the second-fastest time in school history.
• Took ninth overall in the 100 breast (1:02.81), winning the B final with the fourth-fastest time ever at Cornell.
• Placed 12th in the 100 free at the Ivy League Championship in 50.38, the third-fastest time in school history.
• Went 56.20 in the 100 back, No. 5 all-time at Cornell.
• Won the 100 back, 100 IM and 200 IM at the Ithaca Bomber Invitational, taking third in the 100 free as well.
• Touched first in the 50 back and 500 free in a dual meet win at St. Bonaventure.
 

Prior to Cornell

• Baturka was a three-time U.S. Swimming high school All-American as part of the medley relay at Episcopal Academy.
• Earned All-Delco Swimmer of the Year honors in 2013.
• Was a seven-time Eastern Prep meet champion.
• Served as team co-captain as a senior.
 

Personal

• Sarah E Baturka is the daughter of Bradley and Angie Baturka and has a brother and sister.
• She is enrolled in the School of Hotel Administration.
