Biography
As a senior (2019-20)
• Shared team's everyday role at the Nos. 3 and 4 positions with classmate Colby Gallagher — also making a pair of appearances at No. 2.
• Tied for third on team in victories with an 8-10 record.
• One of Cornell's three competitors to win all three of her matches in the Kurtz Cup, including a rally to win in five games against an opponent from Virginia in the semifinals.
• Shared team's sportsmanship award with classmate Lucy Martin.
• Recorded an Ivy League victory Feb. 1 against Dartmouth, cruising to win in three games.
• Finished collegiate career with a 34-35 record in team matches.
As a junior (2018-19)
• Tied for team lead in victories, posting a 9-9 record from the Nos. 2, 3 and 4 positions.
• Lone Ivy League victory came in three games at No. 3 position against Dartmouth on Jan. 13.
• Ended season with four consecutive wins, including all three contests at the Kurtz Cup — which Cornell won.
As a sophomore (2017-18)
• Tied for second on the team in victories with a 10-8 record, competing in each of the team's dual matches from primarily the middle three spots in the order.
• Won seven of first eight non-league matches, including a dramatic five-game victory while staving off an opponent from Virginia on Dec. 2.
• Won twice in Ivy League play, defeating opponents from Dartmouth and Brown.
• Ended the season on a high note with a three-game victory over an opponent from Columbia in the seventh-place match of the Howe Cup.
As a freshman (2016-17)
• Only newcomer to appear in all 15 of the Big Red's dual matches, posting a 7-8 record from the middle of the order.
• Started off with three consecutive victories, including a win against Yale to account for the Big Red's only point against the perennial power.
• Helped Cornell finish the season on a high note, helping to clinch the match against Columbia in the seventh-place playoff at the Howe Cup.
• Presented team's Most Improved Player Award.
Prior to Cornell
• Had final GU19 Division national ranking of 18th before joining the Big Red.
• Competed from the top positions in both squash and tennis at Sacred Heart Greenwich.
• Was twice named the squash team's most valuable player, and also earned all-league honors after her freshman season.
• Won a regional title, three league titles and once named most valuable player on the tennis team.
• National winner of the Presidential Youth Scholar Award.
Personal
• Madison Amelia Miles is the daughter of Brian and Kathryn Miles, and she has one brother and one sister.
• Brother, Shawn Miles '15, is a Cornell graduate.
• Sister, Krystyna Miles, competed on the squash team at Dartmouth.
• Enrolled in the School of Hotel Administration.
