Biography
As a senior (2017-18)
• Posted 7-9 record while competing exclusively in the top third of the order, most often at No. 2.
• Rallied to win a pivotal match in five games at No. 2 on Jan. 31 against an opponent from Drexel. The victory helped the Big Red to a 5-4 victory and retain the eighth and final berth in the season-ending Howe Cup.
• Recorded one Ivy League victory against an opponent from Brown on Feb. 3.
• Qualified for College Squash Association National Individual Championships for a fourth straight year.
As a junior (2016-17)
• Posted a 9-6 record from the Nos. 3 and 4 positions, including a 3-4 mark in Ivy League play.
• Held off opponent from Columbia to win in five games on Jan. 29 to record seventh victory in just the season's ninth match.
• Outlasted opponent from Stanford in a marathon match in the consolation semifinals of the Howe Cup, winning 17-15 in the fourth set.
• The effort garnered the team's postseason Best Match Award.
• Qualified for the College Squash Association National Individual Championships for a third straight year, winning the Holleran North consolation bracket.
• Finished the year ranked 49th in the nation by the CSA.
As a sophomore (2015-16)
• Tied for team lead in victories with an 11-8 record, finishing the season ranked 42nd in the country by the College Squash Association.
• Named team's Most Valuable Player and Most Improved Player at the postseason banquet.
• All but three appearances came from the No. 4 position, leading to three Ivy League victories against opponents from Brown, Columbia and Dartmouth.
• Lost consecutive matches just once all season and accounted for one of the Big Red's two points against Yale in the consolation semifinals of the Howe Cup.
• Earned a berth into the CSA National Individual Championships for a second straight year, advancing to the quarterfinals of the Holleran (A) Division before being eliminated by teammate Rachel Scherman '17.
As a freshman (2014-15)
• Posted a 10-7 record while competing from the middle three positions in the order, predominantly from the No. 6 spot. She
• Got off to a torrid start, winning first seven collegiate matches — including the first three in Ivy League play.
• Went on to post a 4-3 record in Ancient Eight matches, which tied for second-best on the team.
• Qualified for the College Squash Association National Individual Championships, advancing into the Round of 16 in the Holleran Division.
• Finished the season ranked 57th in the country by the CSA.
Prior to Cornell
• Finished sixth at the US Junior Squash Championships in two consecutive years, ranking as high as eighth in the GU19 national rankings.
• Was ranked 19th among all adults in the country at the time arrival on East Hill.
Personal
• Emma Evelyn Uible is the daughter of David Uible and Cindy Cassell.
• Enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
