Biography
As a junior (2019-20)
• Served as team tri-captain.
• Won lone appearance in a scoring match, rolling to a three-game victory against an opponent from William Smith on Nov. 17.
As a sophomore (2018-19)
• Appeared twice, debuting at the No. 9 spot in a match against Harvard on Jan. 12.
• Won in three games at the No. 7 position against St. Lawrence on Feb. 10.
As a freshman (2017-18)
• Won collegiate debut with a three-game victory at the No. 7 position over an opponent from William Smith on Jan. 14.
Prior to Cornell
• Competing out of the Northern New Jersey Squash Association, achieved a national GU19 ranking as high as 33rd.
• At Dwight-Englewood, was inducted into the Cum Laude Society and presented the Davies Award for Excellence in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
• Also competed nationally at the Pioneer U19 Junior Cup in Germany, and the Dutch U19 Junior Open in the Netherlands.
Personal
• Adinah Scherl is the daughter of Saul and Jodi Scherl, and she has one sister and one brother.
• Sister, Hannah Scherl '19, was also a member of the Cornell women's squash team.
• Has five cousins who have also competed in collegiate squash at Yale, Brown and Harvard.
• Enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
