Biography
As a freshman (2018-19)
• Led team's primary competitors with .727 winning percentage on an 8-3 record, competing primarily at the No. 9 position.
• Won first three collegiate matches against opponents from Williams, Virginia and Columbia.
• Was 2-1 in Ivy League play, including a Jan. 13 victory at Dartmouth.
• Ended season on four-match winning streak, all coming in the minimum three games.
Prior to Cornell
• Competed out of Northern New Jersey Squash Association, achieving highest GU19 national ranking of 20th.
• Four-time recipient of US Squash Scholar Athlete Award.
• 2017 Most Improved Junior Squash Player GU17.
• 2016 member of British Junior Open Team.
• Competed for four years at Millburn HS, serving as captain during senior season.
Personal
• Stephanie Zhao Tan is the daughter of Jianyou Tan and Lin Zhao, and she has one sister.
• Enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
